Amor Fati - Washed Out
I love Washed Out, but I personally love exceptionally this song for it’s title. Immediately what was eye-catching to me was the fact that it was Latin, and as I love teaching myself Latin phrases (evidently), I looked this baby up.
Amor fati is a Latin phrase loosely translating to “love of fate” or “love of one’s fate”. It is used to describe an attitude in which one sees everything that happens in one’s life, including suffering and loss, as good. Moreover, it is characterized by an acceptance of the events or situations that occur in one’s life.
I really really love the meaning of this, and I nearly want to change my URL to it, because I somehow find it really relevant to myself.
